Senior Incoming Travel Agent
SENIOR INCOMING TRAVEL AGENT
Our client, a top tour operator agency, is looking for a new team member to join their team. The position offered is that of a Senior Incoming Travel Agent, located in Bucharest, with working hours from 9:00 to 18:00 (including a 1-hour lunch break) for 5 days a week. Overtime and weekends may be requested for work but compensated.
Availability to travel 30% of the time.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in the tourism industry (as a Travel Agent);
- Proficiency in English at an advanced level (C1), knowledge of Spanish is an advantage;
- Familiarity with Operating Systems: Hotel Cone, Eventer, and Microsoft Office package;
- Previous experience in the tourism industry with significant expertise in travel planning and organization; Solid knowledge of tourist destinations;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work with reservation systems and industry-specific software;
- Customer-oriented and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure in emergency travel situations or in case of unforeseen changes in travel plans.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in English at a professional level (IELTS or Cambridge certifications are an advantage).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
• Selling and offering tour packages to our clients
• Participating in various sales fairs and corporate events.
• Traveling 30% of the time for business purposes.
• Client consultation: Collaborating with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget. Providing recommendations and suggestions for suitable destinations and appropriate itineraries.
• Travel planning: Developing personalized itineraries, including selecting transportation, accommodations, activities, and other necessary travel services.
• Reservations: Making reservations for flights, trains, buses, cruises, hotels, tours, and others. Ensuring that all travel details are correct and up to date.
• Processing hotel and flight reservations in reservation systems such as Hotelcon, Hotelair, and others.
• Booking tickets for low-cost airlines
• Travel document advisory: Providing information and assistance to clients regarding visa requirements, passports, and other necessary travel documents.
• Budget management: Working with clients to establish and adhere to travel budgets. Offering options to keep costs under control and maximize the travel experience.
• Problem-solving: Addressing travel issues or delays with tact and professionalism. Finding alternative solutions to ensure a seamless travel experience.
• Updated knowledge: Keeping up-to-date with destination information, travel regulations, special offers, and trends in the tourism industry.
• Sales and marketing: Promoting the agency's travel services and generating additional sales by offering packages and special deals to clients.
• Customer relationship management: Maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new ones to drive business growth.
